COMMISSION
YOUR OWN TOUR!
Should a group of friends or an association be interested in
a personal tour of Paris (such as was arranged for
Richard Dorment, art critic of The Daily Telegraph, and
his friends), other places in France
or one of the cities in my repertoire, this can
be readily organized. Perhaps around a theme: Art Nouveau, Art Deco,
Moderne, Artists' Studios, Gardens & Landscape, Unusual Museums,
Off-The-Beaten-Track walking tours etc.
For institutions: the client's commission should
be signed up at least 6 months in advance and the group should number
15 or more members to make economic sense and to take advantage
of advanced booking for affordable travel and, moreover, to reduce
unit cost if coach hire is involved. Tours in France have been commissioned
for their members by The Lutyens Trust, The Friends of the British
Antique Dealers Association and The Friends of Charleston. Privately
commissioned tours have included Madrid, Amsterdam and the early
career of Le Corbusier in Switzerland. |
